Frequently Asked Questions

The cost of a custom home depends on several factors including size, design complexity, finishes, site conditions, and level of customization. Because every home is unique, we work with a Cost+ model so you always see exactly where your money is going. We’re happy to walk through your budget early in the process to align expectations and design the right home for you.

Our Cost+ model means you pay the actual cost of labor, materials, and subcontractors plus a clearly defined builder fee. There are no hidden markups or inflated allowances—you see where every dollar goes in real time.

If changes come up during the build, we document them clearly and provide transparent pricing before anything is approved. You’ll always know the cost impact before moving forward, so there are no surprises.

Material pricing can fluctuate in the market. When that happens, we communicate changes as early as possible and review options with you. Our goal is always to stay transparent and help you make informed decisions.

We build custom homes throughout Southern Utah including St. George, Washington City, Santa Clara, Ivins, Hurricane, and throughout Washington County, and nearby communities. If you have a specific location in mind, we’re happy to review it with you and confirm if it’s a good fit for your project.

We do not provide financing directly, but we can connect you with trusted local construction lenders who specialize in custom home building. We’re happy to recommend financing professionals we regularly work with to help guide you through the process.

Most custom homes take approximately 8–14 months from the time construction begins, depending on size, design detail, permitting, and weather conditions. The pre-construction phase (design, budgeting, engineering, and permitting) can also take several months, but it’s key to making sure the build itself runs smoothly.

If you don’t already own land, we can help you through the lot selection process. This includes evaluating available properties, reviewing utilities and access, checking zoning requirements, and determining build suitability. We can also connect you with trusted local real estate professionals to help you find the right piece of land for your home.

Both options are available. You can bring your own plans, modify existing plans, or work with one of our trusted design professionals to create a fully custom design from scratch. We collaborate closely with architects and designers to make sure your home fits your lifestyle, budget, and property.
